Very soon, in almost every one of them, one will be able to apply for Apple’s Independent Repair Provider Program. As part of this program, repair service providers will be able to obtain original Apple parts along with diagnostic and repair tools and manuals.

Despite this, Apple will continue to provide repair services to its customers through its brand network, which already has about 5,000 locations around the world.

Apple Independent Repair Provider Program does not imply any financial investment — the program is free, but there is an important requirement for participants: an Apple-certified specialist has to deal with repairs. Repair service providers need to hire such an employee to be able to buy original Apple parts and tools at no extra charge. Besides, they will get access to training and instructions totally free.
